It is written by Detective Conan manga creator Gosho Aoyama and illustrated by Masaki Gotou. The original storyline is created by Yasushi Akimoto, the founder of AKB48. In the story, AKB48 members discover the body of fellow idol Kato Rena. Maeda Atsuko arrives at the murder scene and begins to handle the case.
